Hakan Horozoglu founded Horozoglu Yonetim Danismanligi Ltd. Sti. (“Horozoglu Consultants”) in Istanbul in 2000 to offer M&A, corporate finance and management advisory services to a number of Turkish enterprises as well as multinationals.

Started his career at Caterpillar Turkey in the Finance and Accounting department in 1987.

Joined Toche Ross to become an auditor in 1988 and took part in the audits of several national and international clients in different roles until he was promoted to manager. Joined the Istanbul practice of Price Waterhouse in 1994 as an audit manager where main concentration was the audit of Petrol Ofisi, a major oil & gas company, which was under privatization.  In addition, managed several audit assignments for IAS and Turkish Capital Market.  

Transferred to the Almaty office as the lead Audit Manager in 1995.  Took over a practice of 35 people, which grew into 95 in 2.5 years.  Industry focus was mainly energy, oil and gas.  In addition, managed privatization and restructuring projects such as Kazakh Exim Bank, Turkmenvnesheconombank, Kazakhtelecom (Telecom network of Kazakhstan which was subsequently acquired by Daewoo Securities) and Kyrgyz Energo.  Also, took part in a number of non-audit projects such as client training, technical consultancy to the Ministry of Finance on implementation of new accounting standards in the Republic of Kazakhstan.  Promoted to Senior Manager in July 1997. 

Transferred to the London office in 1998 to work on ValueReporting™ within the Shareholder Value Services group.  Shareholder Value Services group was a multidisciplinary team with members from various backgrounds such as Corporate Finance, Management Consultancy Services, Audit and Business Advisory Services, universities, and analysts from the private sector. Transferred to the Istanbul office in 1999 where he oversaw a number of audit assignments, in various sectors such as pharmaceutical, automotive, paper and packaging.

Founded Horozoglu Consultants in 2000 to offer M&A, corporate finance and management advisory services to a number of Turkish enterprises as well as multinationals.

Qualified as public accountant in 1994 at the Istanbul Chamber of Independent Accountants and Financial Advisors

Attended CPA review courses in the USA in 1993.

Attended a number of Business Skills Programs held by PwC in Europe.

​Ela Horozoğlu

Started her career at Touch Ross in March 1990 as an assistant auditor. Took part in audits of several national and multinational clients in different roles from assistant auditor to supervisor. 

Joined the Finance and Accounting department of Price Waterhouse Almaty / Kazakhstan office as Financial Controller in 1995. 

Transferred to Price Waterhouse London in 1998 and worked in the Eastern European Services Group which comprises 15 countries including Turkey, as Assistant Financial Controller. Duties and responsibilities included providing ongoing support to the territories, when requested, coordination of periodic financial and budgetary information, and consolidation of them at the group level in London. The position involved visits to certain territories to provide them with appropriate monitoring and technical support. 

Joined Praktiker Yapı Marketleri A.S. a subsidiary of Metro Group, as a Finance Manager in 1999. Major roles and responsibilities included managing the controlling, accounts payable, statutory accounting and finance functions. 

Joined Lowe Tanıtım Hizmetleri A.S., a subsidiary of Interpublic Group of Companies, USA, as Finance Director and the Board member in 2002. Duties and responsibilities included preparation of financial reporting in line with US GAAP and budgeting, implementation of Sarbanes Oxley Act, coordination of cash flow and treasury activities of the Company, legal activities including General Assembly, share transfers, etc. 

Joined Monster.com in 2011 as Finance Director responsible for Southern European region.  Duties and responsibilities included maintenance of periodic financial reporting, preparation of financial statements and budgeting in line with US GAAP and corporate policy. Monster Global has closed its operations in several countries including Turkey, effective Dec. 2012. Ela was appointed as Interim Liquidation Officer and managed the liquidation process between Dec. 2012 and February 2014.

Worked at Manajans JWT Turkey between March 2014 and August 2020 worked as CFO and Vice President. Manajans underwent an intercompany merger process as part of a global restructuring initiative introduced by the US parent company WPP and became Wunderman Thompson.

Qualified as an Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor (SMMM) in 1999
